Our story begins about 30 years ago, when having finished his studies at the Technical Agricultural Institute in Todi, the oldest in Italy, Riccardo Marconi decided, together with his father, to embark on this adventure in the world of cheese. Riccardo was and still is the youngest cheesemaker in Umbria. In recent years, many local and national newspapers have talked about us and our experience, not only in training and experimentation, but especially in bringing innovation to the world of cheese. Thanks to their passion, study and experience in the trade, today the Montecristo Dairy family produces more than 100 types of cheeses, processing cow, goat and sheep’s milk and creating gluten-free and even lactose-free cheeses. One important choice: milk, 100% UMBRO. We made it a slogan because for us it is a philosophy, of work and life.
